Thanks!
Meg -
Thanks for the opportunity to take part in this. Although I think I would need practice with the tools, this is exciting! I look forward to seeing what people do with this.

Training the Trainer Workshop

On March 20, 2006 staff from CARE and the CARE Academy came together to explore a basic approach to eLearning curriculum development. The focus of the training session was to consider a rapid content development approach that would empower many more staff to embark on a path to become content publishers within a 21st century learning/communications environment. The session, presented by Nortel LearniT, was an initial effort to forge an ongoing relationship and investment in a training model that can be refined for use organizationally.
For more information on this workshop, please see the training presentation at:

The start: Documenting the beginning of the weblog
March 16--We preparing for the group training on using tools for creating a training course for CARE Academy. Michael had me set up the blog page-- I lliked selecting the template, the best--the colors & layout is my forte.
Then he had me name the blo and enter my comments (these words). I am pretty fam, iliar with blogs and commuity sites so i am curious to see how this all comes together in a "how to" program. One question I have is about the Security issues--- once a blog is created anyone can get in, right? THe second thing I am thinking about is how much band with does somthing like this require? I know many of ourcountry offices only have dial up-- and will have their internet connections time out. Perhaps the "course" can be downloded into a CD ROM. I guess we'll find out on Monday. So for now-- the computers work. Jon has to install Real Media Player on the instructor's computer for the material Michael is sending over. The student's computers don't have to have Real Media Player. The speakers work on the main computer...so we're all set.
